Happy New Year! It’s still January, and we haven’t sent out a 2013 newsletter yet, so we can still say it without sounding too dorky.
Besides, we’ve got a lot of cool “newness” happening around the store, anyway!
This weekend, store associates Trish and Cat will be attending Arisia in Boston, one of New England’s largest science fiction and fantasy conventions. They’ll be bringing a select array of ABSW books and gifts – particularly books by the convention guests of honor, Tananarive Due and Steve Barnes. ABSW will be sharing a booth in the Dealer’s Room with Broad Universe, Spencer Hill Press, and Mystic Sheep Studios.
Also, starting Sunday, January 20th, Annie’s will be hosting an Open House Week!
What’s an Open House Week? Well, it’s a week of fun for our customers and supporters, old and new. Look forward to:
More New York Times Best SellerList titles
New displays highlighting local authors
An expanded selection of new and used children’s and young adult titles, geared towards educators and caretakers as well as readers
Coffee and snacks each day
Special sales throughout the week
Raffles for Book Baskets
But wait… there’s even more!
Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester is also offering free Advanced Reading Copies of books to those who want to give us reviews to post! We’ll have forms available, and you pick from our grand collection.
And don’t forget our regular events. ABSW hosts Spinning Yarns every Wednesday night at 7PM: Bring your favorite craft and listen to an audiobook or audio drama! And every fourth Friday of the month, come and experience the Worcester Storytellers – writers and performers of poetry and prose, fiction and nonfiction, and perhaps a surprise or two!
May your lives be filled with beautiful words!
Can’t wait!
