Looking for more things to do in the Worcester Area during April? Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester offers you a lot of options!
Throughout the month of April, Liz Steele’s “We Can Write” workshops are taking place on Saturday! The workshop costs $30 per child and is strictly limited to ten students per workshop; call and register ahead for availability – there are still some spots left! Students, ages 8-13, get a chance to practice their writing skills in a nurturing, supportive environment–and walk away with a professionally bound book that can be cherished forever. Liz is the owner and creator of Customize a Book, as well as a special education teacher. Her workshop is tied to the MA frameworks and helps students prepare for the MCAS. Additional sessions will be held on the 14th, the 21st and the 28th. Students need only attend one session. Stop into the store or call 508-796-5613 to see what sessions have room.
At the end of April, Sunday the 29th at 3PM, Annie’s welcomes author Natalie May Bolger for a signing event with her book The Grand Festive Picnic. The Grand Festive Picnic is an interactive, Kids Love Life book that celebrates friendship with creative tongue twisters and demonstrative adjectives that make it a learning experience as well as a fun read-aloud book for parents.
Don’t forget that every Thursday night at 7PM, there’s Spinning Yarns, where we can knit, crochet, or otherwise create pretty things while listening to audiobooks or audio dramas in our cozy store.
Remember, Annie’s offers a lot of community events, so when you want to do something, check us out and see what we have going on!
