And then, THIS WEDNESDAY, July 10th at 11:30 AM, ABSW is happy to host the “Musical Ambassador for Children,” Johnette Downing, for a singing story-time gone fun. Johnette is an award-winning children’s book author and musician who will be singing her How to Dress a Po’ Boy book about how to make a sandwich tummy tempting one ingredient at a time, and reading one of her beloved and cultural “pourquoi” or “why” animal stories that explains why certain animals look and live the way they do. Find out more about Johnette and her work through the great interview she gave us here.
For a more adult crowd, Saturday evening, July 27 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Eric James Aubin will be giving a talk and signing his debut book, The Dispensary, a non-fiction romp through the world of hair salons from the viewpoint of those you trust with your hair and appearance. Extremely funny and cutting, stop in to find out what your hairdressers really think about you!
And Worcester Storytellers returns again on Friday, July 26from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM for their thriving Open Mic. The featured reader, D.M.
