Events Buzz Monday: April News and Happenings

westernsA multitude of happy wishes to all those who celebrated or are still celebrating—be it Passover, Easter, the full moon, or just that it’s April and not currently freezing or snowing.

We had a relaxing weekend at 65 James Street as we’re gearing up for Spring and our awesome Carnival of Children’s Authors and Illustrators this coming weekend!

With some of our Spring prep, we just received another great bunch of Science Fiction and Fantasy novels that we’re working on shelving—and we’re also expanding our Westerns section, too. And while we’re shelving the new books, we’re putting together our Sidewalk Sale carts, so watch for new books on our discount carts outside!

While we’re bringing in new stock, we’re also looking for books on the local elementary, middle school and high school Summer Reading Lists. If you’re a teacher, you can send us your summer reading titles to orders@anniesbooksworcester.com so we can have them for your students.

Also, thank you to everyone who’s been supporting the Worcester–The City That Reads book drive with us. We’re still taking donations of new or gently used books appropriate for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade—and any books purchased for donation get an additional 10% off. We’ll have the box by our register until April 30.

Now, onto our events! Below is our ongoing list with updates, but watch our website and Facebook page for even more updates!
