Well, now that we’ve had our first snowfall, it’s beginning to feel like winter and the holiday season in New England. (Also, we hope everyone was able to travel safely today!)

With the holidays in mind, here are our Holiday Hours:

Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Friday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

We will CLOSE AT 6:00 PM on Saturday, December 24.

We will be CLOSED on Sunday, December 25.

We will be OPEN on Sunday, January 1.

We’re also now hosting our special Holiday Gift Idea blogging event, starting on December 1 and ending on December 24. Between our regular event blogs and author interviews, the staff at ABSW has hand-selected some of our favorite things we think you might also want to share with the people you love. Need some gifting inspiration? Let us help!

And if you’re looking for books to celebrate and count down to the holidays with some of your favorite children, check out our holiday book display in our Children’s room. Not only do we have some classic Christmas books, but we have books for Solstice, Hanukkah, non-religious, and even books in Spanish that you can share with your favorite little people.

THIS WEEK, we welcome back the Rainbow Readers of Massachusetts THIS SATURDAY, December 10 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. The group is discussing Winter Oranges by Marie Sexton. There are still copies of Winter Oranges available at the store, and you don’t have to have finished the book to join the conversation.

Also, THIS SUNDAY, December 11, we are having Holiday Songs & Stories with Sam Lalos & Linda McCarthy from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. Join us for tales and music for all ages. Sing along or just enjoy listening!

And here’s a peek at the rest of December…

Thursday, December 15, 7:00 – 8:00 PM – Doctor Who Discussion Group: Holiday Adventures.

Saturday, December 17, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM –  Put Some Scares into…: Horror Authors Pete Kahle and Tom Deady.
