Events Buzz: Beginning and end

02262018 - Wrinkle Picture

As February ends and March begins this week, we’re slowly starting our transition into spring—hooray! We at Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester are certainly love more days where we can sit in the sun (or under a tree or umbrella) with a good story…or six.

Also coming with March is the release of the new A Wrinkle in Time movie—and we’re very excited about that.  We have a display up front of the novel and the graphic novel to celebrate!

As we bid goodbye to February, we also send a great big “Thank you!” with it to all our friends who came out to our events. Just last week we had an overwhelming response to our February vacation drop-in crafts, storytimes, and sing-a-longs! It was so good to see you all.

Whether you’re already planning for March or just starting to look for things to do, keep our 65 James Street store in mind because we’ve got a lot going on in the next few weeks—starting with THIS WEEK!

TONIGHT, Monday, February 26, join us for the Free People’s Artists Workshop from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Local artists, makers, and creators bring their works in progress to share and critique. Share your creative endeavor!

THIS SATURDAY, March 3, from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, join us for Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss Drop-in Craft and Story Time!

We have coloring pages, crafts like making a Lorax or a Cat in the Hat pencil holder, story time, and more for Suess fans of all ages! Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event.

And then THIS SUNDAY, March 4, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, join us for Exploring the Charles River with Kathleen Rowe.

Looking to plan some outdoor fun with your family this spring and summer? Kathleen, a former English teacher and dedicated environmentalist, will take you on a journey along this famous waterway. From her beautiful book, Exploring the Charles River, she’ll share tips, stories, and beautiful photographs she’s taken. Plan out some new adventures just a short drive away for your family this year!

And for the rest of March…

Thursday, March 8, 7:00 – 9:00 PM – The Future of Newspapers; Dan Kennedy’s The Return of the Moguls.
